We're hiring a Commis I for our upcoming wellness property in Mulshi, near Pune.
Pasban — The Gatekeeper is the next chapter from Akhil Anand, who scaled Tree of Life Resorts & Hotels into one of India's most respected boutique hospitality brands. Our Mulshi property is a boutique wellness retreat, and the kitchen is built around fresh, seasonal, ingredient-led food. This is a hands-on kitchen role for someone early in their culinary career who wants to learn properly.
What you'll do
- Handle mise en place and prep for your section, exactly to the standards set by the Head Chef
- Cook and plate dishes on your section during service, consistently and on time
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and presentation specs
- Maintain HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards across storage, labelling and temperature logs
- Keep your section clean, organised and stocked through the shift
- Support stock rotation (FIFO), minimise wastage and flag shortages early
- Work across sections as required — hot kitchen, garde manger,
tandoor — to build all-round skill
Who we're looking for
- 1–3 years of kitchen experience in a hotel, resort or standalone restaurant
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred; strong trainees welcome
- Solid basics: knife skills, stocks, sauces, and a genuine interest in ingredients
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable relocating to and living in Mulshi — accommodation and meals are provided
What we offer
- Accommodation, meals and duty transport
- Training directly under an experienced Head Chef at a pre-opening property
- A boutique wellness kitchen where you get to work with real produce, not a commodity menu
- A explicit growth path in a kitchen that's still being built, for those who earn it
