Role Description The Collections Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota, responsible for overseeing the collections process for assigned portfolios and ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining positive customer relationships. The role includes managing a team of collection officers, setting daily and weekly targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and support to achieve collection goals.
The Collections
Manager will review aging reports, analyze delinquency trends, and implement appropriate strategies for follow-ups, settlements, and legal or escalation processes as per company policy. Day-to-day activities involve field visits when required, coordinating with branch operations, credit,
and legal teams, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards. The role also involves preparing regular MIS reports, updating management on portfolio performance, and continuously improving collection practices to reduce non-performing assets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong collections and recovery management skills, including portfolio monitoring, delinquency control, and negotiation for settlements.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including the ability to supervise field staff, set targets, and provide performance feedback.
- Candidates should possess analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in using spreadsheets or MIS tools to track collection efficiency and portfolio trends.
- Candidates should possess customer relationship and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse customers and resolution of payment issues professionally.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of NBFC or banking operations, local market dynamics, and basic regulatory and compliance requirements related to collections.
- Relevant experience in collections, recovery, or branch operations in financial services is strongly preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related field is desirable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Ability to work in office in Kota, with readiness for field visits, and familiarity with local language(s)
