Insight Global is looking for Python Engineers to join a leading financial institution located in India. The recruitment drive responds to the firmwide initiative to move to the cloud. The chosen candidate will join the engineering team and support the on-prem compute-to-cloud compute migration project.

This role will focus on workload discovery, capacity planning, platform configuration, migration execution, validation, performance tuning, automation, and legacy host decommissioning. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on engineering experience, a structured delivery mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to execute migrations safely and at scale.

Must haves:

- Hands on strong programming skills in Python with proficiency in object-oriented design principles, debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Strong Unix/Linux fundamentals with the ability to troubleshoot application, deployment,



environment and runtime issues.
- Robust experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, or similar tools supporting automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Practical understanding of on-prem to cloud migration strategies, workload assessment, testing, cutover, and post-migration validation.
- Experience with batch scheduling platforms such as Autosys, Control-M, Cron, or equivalent workflow orchestration tools.
- Understanding of AWS cloud services
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

- Plusses:
- Practical understanding of on-prem to cloud migration strategies, workload assessment, testing, cutover, and post-migration validation.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based deployments.
