Role Description The Cinematographer at HAIR RAP BY YOYO will be responsible for visually capturing and elevating the salon’s brand, services, and creative work through high-quality video and imagery. This full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad involves planning and executing video shoots in the salon, collaborating with YoYo and the creative team to tell authentic visual stories, and creating content suitable for social media, marketing campaigns, and brand promotions.

Day-to-day tasks include framing and lighting scenes, operating cameras and related equipment, directing on-camera talent as needed, and coordinating with editors to ensure a consistent visual style that reflects the salon’s artistic identity. The Cinematographer will also help organize media assets, maintain equipment,



and contribute fresh ideas to showcase trends, transformations, and behind-the-scenes experiences.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong cinematography and videography skills, including camera operation, composition, and lighting for indoor and salon environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in video production planning, such as storyboarding, shot-list creation, and coordinating with creative and marketing teams.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in basic video editing workflows and collaboration with editors, ensuring footage aligns with brand style and quality standards.
- Candidates should possess visual storytelling and creative direction abilities to translate hair transformations and salon experiences into engaging visual narratives.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with social media and digital content trends, including creating short-form content suitable for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Candidates should possess solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with stylists, clients, and management in a busy on-site setting.
- Relevant experience in fashion, beauty, or salon-focused cinematography or photography is beneficial, along with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
- A diploma or degree in film, media, visual communication, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
