Role Description The Chinese Language Trainer will conduct live, interactive online classes to teach Mandarin Chinese to learners at various proficiency levels, following Voage Learning’s curriculum and pedagogical standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, delivering structured sessions that focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and guiding learners toward certification and career-oriented language goals. The trainer will assess learner progress through assignments, tests, and feedback, provide one-on-one mentoring as needed, and maintain clear communication with learners and the academic team.





Additional responsibilities include using digital tools to enhance engagement, contributing to course improvement, and supporting a positive, inclusive learning environment. This is a part-time remote role, offering flexible scheduling aligned with learner needs across different time zones.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Chinese language teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management in an online setting, and the ability to teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Candidates should possess solid communication and interpersonal skills, including explicit instruction delivery, active listening, constructive feedback, and the ability to support diverse learners.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with digital teaching tools and online platforms, including video conferencing, interactive whiteboards, and learning management systems.
- Candidates should possess curriculum and assessment skills, including designing practice activities, homework, quizzes, and progress evaluations aligned with learning objectives.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Chinese language, linguistics, education, or related field, and/or recognized Chinese language teaching certifications (e.g., TCSOL or equivalent) would be beneficial.
- Prior experience teaching Chinese online or in classroom settings, knowledge of international language proficiency frameworks (such as HSK), and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment would be advantageous.
