Role Overview:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a key member of the executive team and responsible for ensuring that AIMER Business School’s operations run efficiently and effectively. This includes overseeing day-to-day business activities, managing cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and driving performance across all business units. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and an expert in managing and scaling operations within a fast-growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and implement the overall operational strategy to ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently and on schedule.
- Oversee key operations including HR, Finance, Student Acquisition (Sales & Marketing), Corporate Partnerships, Academics, Admin, and other business functions to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define strategic initiatives and drive long-term growth.

2. Process Optimization & Efficiency:

- Evaluate and streamline operational processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Develop and implement best practices for operations across the business, ensuring scalability as the company grows.
- Use data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

3. Cross-Functional Team Management:

- Lead and manage multiple departments, including HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing (Student Acquisition), Corporate Partnerships, Academics, Admin, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across departments, ensuring teams are aligned with company goals and priorities.
- Identify opportunities for team development and provide mentorship and leadership to ensure optimal performance.

4.HR & Talent Management:

- Oversee the HR function to ensure talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies align with the organization’s goals.
- Develop and implement policies to maintain a high-performance culture while ensuring employee satisfaction and organizational growth.
- Provide leadership in managing recruitment, performance management, training,



and employee relations.

5.Finance & Budgeting:

- Oversee the finance department, ensuring financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation support the company’s operational goals.
- Monitor financial performance, manage operational costs, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Work with the executive team to secure funding and manage relationships with investors.

6.Student Acquisition (Sales & Marketing):

- Lead the sales and marketing teams responsible for student acquisition, focusing on strategies to increase enrollment and drive brand awareness.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract a global student base, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence.
- Analyze and leverage data to track marketing campaign performance, student engagement, and acquisition metrics.

7.Admin & Facilities Management:

- Oversee the administration department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of office facilities, logistics, and day-to-day operations.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operational requirements and a positive work environment.
- Manage office operations, including infrastructure, supplies, and space management.

8.Technology & Innovation:

- Work closely with the technology and product teams to ensure that the company’s digital tools, platforms, and processes are scalable and efficient.
- Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and systems that can improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall student experience.

9.Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

- Develop and monitor key operational metrics and KPIs to ensure the company is on track to meet its objectives.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and other stakeholders on operational performance, identifying key challenges and areas for improvement.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 10 years of senior leadership experience in operations, preferably within the EdTech, education, or technology sectors.
- Skills:
- Proven experience in operational leadership, including managing multiple departments and driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of business processes, project management, and process optimization.
- Experience in managing large-scale operations and scaling companies in a fast-paced, growing environment.




- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute operational initiatives effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Advanced knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in the EdTech space or other technology-driven sectors.
- Familiarity with customer experience and user-centric operations.
- Expertise in using data and analytics to drive operational improvements and decision-making.

- This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Kozhikode, Kerala.
