We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and highly technical Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our enterprise-wide information security, risk management, and compliance strategy. As a leading fintech platform handling millions of high-value financial transactions, data privacy and security are at the core of our business promise.
The CISO will be responsible for safeguarding the companys digital assets, intellectual property, and customer data while ensuring seamless compliance with RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, and international security standards. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, robust leadership, and deep technical expertise in cloud security, threat intelligence, and financial fraud prevention.
Key Responsibilities :
1.
Security
Strategy &
- Governance :
- Establish, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide information security vision, strategy, and architecture aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the security governance framework, aligning with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
- Regularly report the organization's security posture, risks, and incident metrics to the Board of Directors and executive leadership.

Regulatory
Compliance &
- Data Privacy :
- Ensure strict adherence to financial regulatory frameworks, including RBI Master Directions on Digital Payment Security, Cyber Security Frameworks, and DPDP (Digital Personal Data Protection) Act requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external security auditors, regulatory bodies, and banking partners.
3. Architecture, Cloud &
- Application Security :
- Oversee the security design of highly scalable,
cloud-native (AWS/Azure/GCP) financial platforms.
- Implement robust DevSecOps practices, ensuring secure code practices, SAST/DAST pipelines, and rigorous vulnerability management (VAPT).
- Champion Zero Trust architecture, IAM (Identity &
- Access Management), and advanced encryption protocols for data at rest and in transit.
4.
Incident
Response &
- Threat Management :
- Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) team in proactive threat hunting, monitoring, and real-time anomaly detection.
- Define and test the corporate Incident Response Plan and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies to ensure near-zero downtime.
5. Cultivating a Security-First Culture :
- Drive organization-wide security awareness programs to mitigate phishing and social engineering risks.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to balance rapid feature deployment with uncompromising security principles.
Qualifications &
Experience :
- Experience : 12 to 15 years in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CISO, VP, or Head of Security) within a fast-paced Fintech, NBFC, or Tier-1 Banking ecosystem.
- Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications (Highly Preferred) : CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or CCSP.
- Technical Depth : Deep understanding of API security, microservices architecture, blockchain, financial transaction routing, and modern cloud infrastructures.
- Leadership Style : A collaborative builder who thrives in agile environments and can translate complex technical risks into clear business implications.
