Role Description The Chief Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Radisson property in Khopoli. This position oversees all engineering and maintenance operations, including building systems, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, and safety and security standards across the hotel.

The Chief

Engineer leads the engineering team, plans preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinates with external vendors, and ensures compliance with local regulations and brand standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring energy usage, maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, managing maintenance requests, and supporting smooth hotel operations with minimal disruption to guests. The role also involves budgeting for capital projects,



maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with other departments to deliver a safe, comfortable, and high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications

- Strong technical expertise in building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical operations.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning, preventive maintenance programs, and asset management for hotel facilities.
- Experience leading engineering teams, including staff supervision, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Knowledge of safety standards, fire and life safety systems, and compliance with local building and environmental regulations.
- Ability to manage engineering budgets, track costs, and support capital improvement projects and vendor relationships.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on minimizing downtime and guest impact.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working closely with operations, front office, and other hotel departments.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment as a Chief Engineer or in a senior engineering role is preferred.
- Relevant technical degree or diploma in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil) or equivalent professional certification.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule, including weekends or evenings, as required by hotel operations.
