NextGen Mindz emphasizes personalized training and structured cognitive skill development for children.

Role Description The Chess Instructor will deliver engaging, structured online chess lessons to children of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. This full-time remote role involves planning lesson content, demonstrating strategies and tactics, guiding students through practice games, and providing individualized feedback to support skill improvement and confidence.

The instructor will prepare students for chess tournaments, help them analyze their games, and track their progress against learning goals.



Additional responsibilities include collaborating with other tutors on curriculum enhancements, maintaining clear communication with parents or guardians, and supporting NextGen Mindz’s mission of cognitive skill development through chess education.

Qualifications

Fide rated player with no experience in teaching but with good communication can feel free to apply

- Strong proficiency in Chess, including opening theory, middle game strategy, and endgame techniques.
- Comfort with Mathematics concepts that support logical thinking and pattern recognition in chess.
- Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Tutoring children or youth in an online or classroom setting.
- Experience in Training learners for competitive chess, including coaching for tournaments and performance review.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms.
- Prior experience as a chess coach, instructor, or competitive player (tournament experience or ratings are an advantage).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage schedules, and use online teaching platforms effectively.
- Relevant certification or formal training in chess instruction, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
