Job Title: CAE Modeling Engineer (HyperMesh) The CAE Modeling Engineer will create, review, and refine finite element (FE) models for automotive applications using HyperMesh. This role coordinates technical tasks, collaborates closely with customers and internal teams, and applies strong fundamentals in strength of materials and modal analysis to support robust engineering decisions.

Responsibilities

- Create detailed CAE models using HyperMesh to support automotive component and assembly analysis.

- Review and validate finite element (FE) models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.

- Coordinate tasks and activities across the project team to ensure timely completion of modeling and analysis work.

- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to clarify requirements, share progress, and address technical questions.

- Apply knowledge of automobile components and their connections between assemblies to build realistic and representative FE models.

- Use principles of strength of materials to support model setup, boundary conditions, and interpretation of analysis results.

- Perform modal analysis to evaluate dynamic behavior and support design and validation decisions.

- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats to support effective teamwork and customer interactions.

- Document modeling approaches, assumptions, and key findings for technical reviews and project records.

Essential Skills

- Hands-on experience in CAE modeling for engineering applications.

- Proficiency in HyperMesh for creating and managing FE models.





- Ability to review and validate FE models for quality and correctness.

- Task coordination skills to organize and manage modeling activities within project timelines.

- Basic knowledge of automobile components and the connections between assemblies.

- Strong understanding of strength of materials and its application in structural analysis.

- Experience performing modal analysis and interpreting dynamic analysis results.

- Positive communication skills for effective customer and team interactions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Prior experience working on automotive CAE projects is beneficial.

- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to model building and review.

- Capability to document technical work clearly for reports and presentations.

Work Environment The CAE Modeling Engineer works in a professional engineering environment focused on computer-aided analysis and virtual product development. The role primarily involves working with CAE tools such as HyperMesh and related software on modern workstations. The position requires regular collaboration with engineering colleagues and customer contacts through meetings, calls,



and written communication.

Work typically follows standard office hours, with occasional flexibility depending on project deadlines. Dress code is generally business casual, suitable for a technical office setting.
