Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced CAD Engineer to join our engineering team in Pune. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for healthcare workstations and related mechanical products.

This role requires strong mechanical design expertise, proficiency in SolidWorks, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, manufacturable, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.

Translate product requirements and concepts into robust, manufacturable mechanical designs.

Support product development activities throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Industrial Design teams.

Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for design improvements.

Create and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, ECOs, and design records within PLM systems.

Ensure designs meet functional, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production, assembly, cost, and quality.





Troubleshoot design-related issues through engineering analysis, testing, and problem-solving.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and product innovation efforts.

Required QualificationsEducation

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Automobile Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design and Product Development.

Technical Competencies

Strong expertise in

Sheet Metal Design

Plastic Part Design

Mechanical Assemblies

Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and detailed engineering drawings.

Experience working with Teamcenter or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.

Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and mechanical engineering standards.

Experience with product testing, validation, root cause analysis, and engineering problem-solving.

Ability to independently execute and manage complex design assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Medical Device industry and familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of Automotive/Product Surfacing methodologies.

Exposure to Industrial Design processes and collaboration.

Experience working in a regulated product development environment.
