Business Development Head — Titanium Trading

CTC- 10-25 Lakhs ABOUT US AKD Advanced Materials is a new venture of AKD Group, a Jaipur-based industrial conglomerate expanding from real estate into energy and advanced materials. Titanium trading is our founding product line — a ground-floor opportunity to build a strategic materials business from its first supplier and customer relationship onward. THE ROLE We're looking for our first Business Development Head to own revenue, supplier relationships, and market entry end to end.

You'll personally lead our founding supplier and customer conversations, with the goal of turning a standing start into a functioning, revenue-generating trading company within 12 months. WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Source and negotiate supply agreements with domestic titanium stockists and international producers (China, Japan, Kazakhstan)
- Build our customer pipeline from zero — medical device, industrial, and chemical processing companies first, moving toward private aerospace/defense customers (Tata Advanced Systems, Bharat Forge, and similar) as we mature
- Own the long-horizon relationship-building for eventual HAL, DRDO, and ISRO vendor registration
- Set go-to-market strategy across our product line (sponge, ingot, bar, sheet, tube, powder)




- Report directly to AKD Group leadership and help build the BD team as we scale WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including 5–7 years in metals trading, industrial materials distribution, or related B2B sales
- A track record of building supplier or customer relationships from scratch — prior experience launching a new business line or venture is highly valued
- Titanium, specialty metals, or aerospace/defense-adjacent trading experience is a strong plus, not mandatory
- Familiarity with India's import-export environment (DGFT, customs, HS codes) is a plus
- Comfort with long sales cycles and real ambiguity — some of our most key relationships will take years to convert
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills; working Hindi required, English fluency essential
- Willingness to travel extensively (40–50% in year one), domestically and internationally
- An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine patience for the long game NICE TO HAVE
- Existing relationships within India's aerospace, defense, or specialty metals ecosystem
- Familiarity with trade-data platforms (Volza, Seair Exim, Cybex Exim)
- Exposure to AS9100 or aerospace quality certification processes WHAT WE OFFER
