Business Analyst / Subject Matter Expert (SME) – e-Invoicing

About the Role

NETBUE is looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Subject Matter Expert (SME) – e-Invoicing to join our product team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis expertise, experience in software product development, and a good understanding of finance, taxation, ERP systems, and electronic invoicing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, Development Team, QA team, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for development teams.
- Coordinate sprint planning, backlog grooming, requirement clarification, and release planning.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs, support UAT activities, and perform client demonstrations.
- Act as the functional expert for the organization’s e-Invoicing platform.
- Identify product improvements and recommend best practices for business processes and compliance workflows.

Required Skills & Experience




- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software product development.
- Hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Strong business analysis and documentation skills.
- Experience in BRD, FRD, Use Cases, Wireframes, Process Mapping, and Gap Analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
- VAT / GST / Taxation systems
- Electronic Invoicing (e-Invoicing)
- ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Tally, or similar
- Accounts Receivable (AR) / Accounts Payable (AP)
- Finance and accounting workflows
- PEPPOL Framework and Access Point operations
- Oman FAWTARA or other global e-Invoicing implementations
