Role Description The Branch Manager / Assistant Branch Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This position is responsible for overseeing daily branch operations, including sales activities, customer service, inventory management, and coordination with suppliers and distributors. The role involves supervising branch staff, setting performance targets, tracking branch performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The individual will support business development efforts, maintain strong relationships with key customers, and identify opportunities to expand the branch’s market presence.

Manager / Assistant Branch Manager will also handle reporting to senior management, monitor financial performance, and ensure that the branch delivers a high standard of service and product knowledge.

Qualifications

Experience in branch management, retail or distribution operations, or sales leadership within building materials, interiors, or related industries.

Strong skills in team supervision, performance management, and staff training, with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.

Proficiency in customer relationship management, negotiation, and communication, with a focus on delivering professional service to clients and partners.

Ability to manage inventory, logistics coordination, and basic financial oversight, including sales targets, budgets, and reporting.

Comfort with using office productivity tools and basic business software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, CRM or ERP systems).

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience in the Kolkata market or similar regional markets is an advantage.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site full time with a hands-on approach to branch operations.
