Role Description The Bima Sakhi role is a full-time hybrid position based in Lucknow, with a mix of on-site field work and some work-from-home activities. In this role, the Bima Sakhi supports local communities by promoting LIC insurance products, explaining policy benefits, and assisting individuals and families in selecting suitable coverage. Daily responsibilities include meeting prospective customers, conducting financial needs assessments, guiding clients through application and documentation processes, and providing ongoing policy servicing support.
The role also involves maintaining records of client interactions, coordinating with branch staff and other agents, participating in awareness campaigns, and following LIC guidelines and regulatory standards.
The position requires proactive outreach, relationship building, and a strong focus on customer education and trust.
Qualifications Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial and insurance concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Customer service orientation, relationship-building capability, and a supportive approach to working with individuals and families in the community.
Basic financial literacy and comfort with understanding savings, protection, and pension products; willingness to learn LIC’s range of offerings.
Ability to manage time effectively, work independently in the field, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
Comfort with using mobile phones and basic digital tools for communication, data entry, and reporting; openness to training on LIC systems.
Minimum educational qualification as per LIC norms (typically completed school education); additional qualifications in finance, commerce, or social work are an advantage.
Prior experience in community outreach, sales, or frontline customer engagement is beneficial but not mandatory; motivation to serve and support the community is essential.
Willingness to travel within Lucknow and nearby areas as required and to adhere to LIC policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
