Role Description The Banquet Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing banquet operations from setup to closing. This role coordinates with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely food service, proper table arrangements, and adherence to event plans and standards.

Supervisor monitors staff performance on the floor, assigns duties, and provides guidance to maintain smooth service and consistent quality. The role involves interacting with clients during events, addressing any service concerns in real time, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the function.

Supervisor also helps with inventory checks, post-event reviews, and continuous improvement of banquet procedures.

Qualifications

Strong supervisory skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and on-the-floor leadership during events.

Practical experience in food service and banquet operations, with an understanding of event layouts, service flow, and hygiene standards.

Customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to guest needs and feedback.

Clear and confident communication skills for liaising with clients, kitchen staff, and service teams.

Prior experience in hospitality, catering, or banquet management is highly beneficial.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple events or tasks simultaneously.

Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
