We are seeking a motivated and passionate Backend Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. Under the direct supervision of our Chief Technology Officer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our state-of-the-art job application and resume optimization tool. Note: It's a 6 month internship with potential for a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship
Key Responsibilities
1. System Design & Development: Collaborate with the product team to understand requirements and design scalable and productive backend systems.
2. Integration & APIs Develop and manage APIs for interaction between the frontend and backend systems.
3. Database Management Design, implement, and maintain the database systems ensuring data integrity and scalability.
4. Testing: Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code reliability and performance.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend team, ensuring seamless integration and smooth deployment.
6. Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest backend development practices and integrate them wherever suitable.
7. Feedback Loop: Regularly provide insights and suggestions to improve the system's efficiency, performance, and user experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with database technologies like e.g., MySQL, MongoDB.
- Knowledge of API development and management.
- Understanding of software development best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have:
