We are looking for a Backend Developer (SDE II) to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js . You will own end-to-end feature development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive engineering best practices while ensuring reliability, scalability, and code quality.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js .

Build and optimise RESTful APIs and backend architectures.

Design and optimise PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases for performance and scalability.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

Collaborate with product, frontend, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.

Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.

Contribute to system design, architecture discussions,



and technical decision-making.

Requirements 3-6 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript.

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Robust understanding of REST APIs, Git, and software design principles.

Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed applications.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience with system design, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Familiarity with TDD, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated testing.

Experience with Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, or other caching and messaging technologies.
