We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated
Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage, scale, and secure our Microsoft Azure estate.
In this role, you will be an active owner and custodian of our cloud platform—taking full accountability from day one, actively contributing ideas in team discussions, and driving initiatives forward independently. You will work closely with software engineering teams in
India and London (UK)
to provision resources, automate deployments, optimize costs, and communicate complex technical architectures to both engineering and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Estate Maintenance &
- Support: Manage, monitor, and maintain core Azure services, including Azure VMs,
Azure Container Apps, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure Blob Storage, Azure AI Foundry, Service Bus, SFTP, and related components.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Bicep to provision, update, and automate current and existing cloud infrastructure in response to development team requirements.
- Resilience &
- High Availability: Design, implement, and test Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies and High Availability (HA) architectures to hit agreed RTO and RPO objectives.
- Security &
- Governance: Enforce cloud security best practices (identity, networking, encryption, least-privilege access, and compliance) across all Azure environments.
- Cost Optimization &
- FinOps: Monitor, manage, and continuously optimize Azure spending. Produce clear, actionable monthly cost reports and explain financial metrics directly to management.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Actively participate in daily standups and planning sessions with engineers in India and London to partner directly with developers and solve delivery bottlenecks.
- Technical &
- Business Documentation: Author clear, professional documentation explaining infrastructure resilience, topology, and security controls for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements &
- QualificationsRequired Technical Experience
- Azure Expertise: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Containerization &
- Compute: Practical experience with Azure Container Apps (or AKS) and Virtual Machines.
- Storage &
- Data Platforms: Solid experience managing object storage (Azure Blob Storage including access tiers, lifecycle management, and security), managed databases (PostgreSQL), and caching (Redis).
- Messaging &
- Integration: Hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus and standard enterprise integration setups (e.g., managed SFTP).
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency writing and maintaining Bicep templates for automated deployments.
- AI &
- Integration Services: Prior exposure to Azure AI Foundry.
- Networking &
- Security: Solid foundation in Azure VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, IAM/Entra ID, and Zero-Trust concepts.
- CI/CD: Experience setting up automated pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience with Terraform alongside Bicep.
- AI &
- Data Workflows: Hands-on exposure to infrastructure setups supporting Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures (e.g., vector stores, search indexes, model deployment/scaling).
- Certifications: Relevant Microsoft Certifications (e.g., AZ-104: Azure Administrator or AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect
