Role Description The AV Presales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai. This role involves working with the sales team to understand client requirements, design audio-visual solutions, and prepare detailed technical proposals and system layouts.

The AV Presales Engineer will conduct product demonstrations, support proof-of-concept activities, and provide technical clarification to clients before and during the bidding process. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with internal design and automation teams, reviewing drawings and specifications, estimating costs, and ensuring that proposed AV solutions align with energy-efficient and automation strategies. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of AV technologies, standards,



and integration practices to support high-quality, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems design, including displays, sound systems, control systems, and AV signal distribution.
- Experience supporting presales activities such as requirements gathering, solution design, proposal creation, and technical presentations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and building layouts for AV and automation integration.
- Familiarity with building automation, networking basics, and integration of AV systems into smart building or energy-efficient environments.
- Proficiency in using design and documentation tools (e.g., CAD software, Visio, or similar) for creating AV layouts and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, sales teams, and technical staff in a collaborative manner.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to estimate costs and prepare competitive technical offers.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience in AV engineering, system integration, or technical presales roles is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and occasionally visit client locations as required.
