The AV Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and support of enterprise Audio-Visual (AV) systems across meeting rooms, conference facilities, and event spaces. The role involves providing technical support for video conferencing platforms, troubleshooting AV equipment, supporting executive meetings and corporate events, and managing AV assets to ensure maximum uptime and an exceptional end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. AV Operations & Technical Support
- Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise AV environments, including meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, and collaboration spaces.
- Support and administer Zoom Rooms and other enterprise video conferencing solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
- Audio systems
- Video conferencing equipment
- Display devices (LCD/LED displays, projectors)
- Cameras and microphones
- Touch panels and room controllers
- Network connectivity impacting AV services
- Diagnose hardware and software faults and restore AV services within defined SLAs.
- Configure and test AV equipment before scheduled meetings.
- Ensure meeting rooms are fully operational and ready for business use.
1. Daily Room Readiness
- Conduct daily health checks of all AV-enabled meeting rooms.
- Verify functionality of
- Zoom Rooms
- Cameras
- Microphones
- Speakers
- Displays
- Presentation sharing devices
- Wireless collaboration tools
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize service disruptions.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend permanent solutions.
- Maintain room readiness reports and operational checklists.
1. Executive & VIP Meeting Support
- Provide dedicated AV support for executive leadership meetings.
- Assist VIP users with conference room technology and collaboration tools.
- Ensure uninterrupted AV services during high-priority meetings.
- Coordinate with IT Infrastructure and Network teams to resolve complex issues impacting executive meetings.
- Respond promptly to critical incidents requiring immediate attention.
1. Managed Events Support
- Provide end-to-end AV support for corporate events, webinars, town halls, training sessions, and executive presentations.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-event testing of all AV equipment and conferencing systems.
- Support live events by monitoring AV systems throughout the event.
- Execute run-of-show activities according to event schedules.
- Coordinate with presenters, event coordinators, and technical teams.
1. AV Asset Management
- Maintain an accurate inventory of AV equipment and accessories.
- Track the complete lifecycle of AV assets from procurement through retirement.
- Monitor equipment health and warranty status.
- Coordinate hardware replacements, repairs, and Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities with vendors.
- Ensure proper asset tagging and documentation.
- Maintain inventory records and generate periodic asset reports.
- Recommend replacement or upgrade plans for aging equipment.
