We're hiring an Automation Tester with the explicit intent of training them into a full Automation Developer role on our Implementation team. This is a genuine growth path, not a title dressed up — if you have solid QA/testing fundamentals and the right logical instincts, we'll invest in getting you building customer automations, not just testing them. Test automation and process automation draw on the same underlying skill: the ability to think through a process precisely, step by step, including every branch, exception, and edge case someone else would miss.

If you're good at writing test cases that actually catch bugs, you already have most of what this role needs — we'll teach you the platform

What You'll Do (Initial Phase)

- Write and execute test cases for automations built by the Implementation team testing against real customer scenarios, including edge cases and exception paths
- Identify gaps, bugs, and logic errors in automations before they reach the customer
- Document defects clearly, with enough detail (steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual) for a developer to act on without back-and-forth.
- Work closely with Automation Developers to understand how automations are built — this is your on-ramp to building them yourself
- Maintain test case libraries and regression checklists as the platform evolves.





What You'll Grow Into

- Building automations directly using AutomatR's drag-and-drop RPA canvas
- Building automations using our Natural Language Builder — translating a business process into transparent, logically sequenced instructions
- Working directly with customers/stakeholders to gather process requirements Full ownership of an implementation, start to finish, with testing as one part of your own delivery — not a separate step.

We'll structure this transition deliberately, not sink-or-swim — expect a defined ramp period with direct mentorship from seniorAutomation Developers.

What We're Looking For

- 1–3 years of experience in software/QA testing — manual, automated, or both
- Strong logical/procedural thinking — comfortable breaking a process into steps, conditions, loops, and exception paths. This matters more than any specific tool experience.
- Experience writing clear, structured test cases and defect reports
- Detail-oriented and systematic — you're the person who finds the edge case others miss
- Genuine interest in moving from testing into building — this role is explicitly a growth path, and we want someone who wants that, not someone looking to stay purely in QA
- Comfortable asking clarifying questions rather than assuming when a requirement or process is ambiguous
- Basic understanding of how software systems interact (APIs, file systems, web/desktop applications)

Nice to Have (not required)

- Exposure to any test automation tooling (Selenium, Playwright, or similar)
- Any exposure to RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, PowerAutomate, AutomatR, or similar) Exposure to scripting (Python, VBA, JavaScript)
- Experience building AI Agents using a no-code/low-code builder (e.g., n8n, ZapierAI, Make, or similar)
