We are looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Test Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright with Java, API and backend testing, and automation framework development. This role requires close collaboration with engineering and product teams to design scalable automation solutions, improve test coverage, and ensure high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Playwright and Java.
- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
- Perform API and backend testing to validate application functionality and integrations.
- Develop reusable automation components and improve framework scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams during sprint planning, grooming, and release cycles.
- Drive automation strategy, increase automation coverage, and define quality KPIs.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers for timely resolution.
- Execute manual testing where required and ensure comprehensive functional and regression testing.
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve automation standards and best practices.
- Explore AI-driven testing approaches to enhance automation efficiency and productivity.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in Automation and Manual Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Experience in API Testing and Backend Testing.
- Strong experience in automation framework design and development.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Robust analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Knowledge of Git version control.
