Role Summary
Kado Soft Close Systems Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to develop, operate, improve and maintain automated assembly machines for our MS and stainless-steel soft-close hinge product range. The role covers PLC-controlled lines with vibratory bowl feeders, pneumatic systems, sensors, servo mechanisms, component feeding, inspection and automatic rejection systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, improve and stabilize automatic hinge-assembly processes.
Program, operate, back up and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.
Integrate pneumatic cylinders, servo motors, VFDs, sensors and actuators.
Set up vibratory bowl feeders and reliable component-orientation mechanisms.
Automate the assembly of hinge cups, arms, plates, pins, springs and related parts.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control-system faults using root-cause analysis.
Reduce machine breakdowns and improve production uptime through preventive and corrective action. Optimize cycle time, production output, repeatability and assembly accuracy.
Develop poka-yoke systems to prevent missing, reversed or incorrect components.
Integrate machine-vision, automatic inspection and defective-part rejection systems.
Conduct machine trials, validation, commissioning and production handover.
Prepare electrical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, PLC backups, manuals and maintenance records.
Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance and tool-room teams.
Train machine operators and maintenance technicians.
Ensure compliance with machine-safety and electrical-safety requirements.
Support new automation and Special Purpose Machine (SPM) projects.
Required Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
Practical knowledge of industrial automation and high-speed assembly machinery.
Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta or equivalent.
Working knowledge of servo drives, VFDs, sensors, relays, pneumatics and electrical control panels.
Ability to read and prepare electrical drawings, pneumatic circuits and machine layouts.
Robust troubleshooting, analytical and root-cause-analysis skills
Preferred Experience
3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, SPMs or automatic assembly lines.
Experience in furniture hardware, cabinet hinges, automotive components, sheet-metal products or precision-component assembly.
Experience with vibratory bowl feeders, pick-and-place units, indexing mechanisms and machinevision systems.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance, line balancing, cycle-time improvement and rejection reduction. Previous involvement in machine installation, validation and commissioning.
