About The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer specializing in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration with shopfloor equipment. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless data exchange between manufacturing systems and enterprise platforms, facilitating real-time visibility and control over production processes. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial communication protocols, automation hardware, and software integration techniques.

The Automation

Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including production, IT, and digital transformation units to design, implement, and troubleshoot MES integrations, ensuring system scalability, security, and reliability. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation initiatives of leading manufacturing organizations, leveraging your technical expertise to drive efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical,



Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering. Demonstrable hands-on experience with PLCs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron is essential. A strong understanding of MES systems, ISA-95 architecture, and industrial communication protocols is required.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET, along with solid knowledge of databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, is also necessary.

Certification or prior experience in Industry 4.0, IIoT, or related digital manufacturing initiatives will be considered advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in dynamic manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities Implement MES integration with shopfloor equipment including PLCs, CNCs, sensors, and vision systems to facilitate seamless data flow.

Configure and manage communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, and SECS/GEM to ensure robust connectivity.

Integrate MES with SCADA/HMI systems and enterprise platforms like ERP and databases to enable comprehensive production visibility.

Develop APIs and middleware solutions for efficient data acquisition, orchestration, and real-time monitoring.

Enable real-time production tracking,



machine monitoring, and reporting to support decision-making processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software integration issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Ensure all systems meet security standards, scalability requirements, and compliance regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, IT, and digital transformation units, to deliver integrated automation solutions.
