Role Description This is a full time, on-site AutoCAD Draughtsman Mechanical role based in Korba. The role involves preparing detailed mechanical drawings and 2D/3D layouts using AutoCAD, based on engineering sketches, specifications, and standards.

The AutoCAD Draughtsman Mechanical will revise and update existing drawings, ensure dimensional accuracy, and maintain drawing records and documentation. The position requires close coordination with mechanical engineers, project managers, and site teams to resolve design queries and incorporate feedback. Day-to-day responsibilities also include checking drawings for compliance with industry codes, supporting bill of materials preparation,



and assisting in design-related technical support during project execution.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for mechanical drafting, including 2D and basic 3D modeling, with the ability to create clear, accurate technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of mechanical components, fabrication drawings, tolerances, and industry standards relevant to industrial and plant environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, technical specifications, and site measurements, and convert them into detailed, production-ready drawings.
- Good documentation and organizational skills for maintaining drawing records, revision histories, and drawing registers.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, supervisors, and project teams in a fast-paced on-site setting.
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Draftsmanship, or an equivalent technical qualification; prior experience as a mechanical draughtsperson is preferred.
- Familiarity with other CAD or design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and basic knowledge of MS Office for reports and data management is an advantage.
- Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple drawing tasks and deadlines reliably.
