About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to join our Finance & Accounts team. The role will be responsible for inventory and after-sales accounting, GST compliance, month-end closure, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The position will involve close coordination with internal teams, warehouses, authorised service partners (ASPs), GST consultants, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, a hands-on approach to reconciliations and financial analysis, and the ability to manage multiple activities with accuracy and ownership.
- Inventory & After-Sales Accounting • Maintain accurate inventory accounting records in the books of accounts and ensure alignment with physical and operational records.
- Perform serial number-based inventory tracking and reconciliation and conduct monthly reconciliation between warehouse inventory and accounting records.
- Monitor and account for spare parts inventory and maintain supporting records.
- Prepare accounting entries and supporting workings for product cannibalisation, refurbishment of defective inventory, and inventory splits between products and accessories.
- Create and maintain inventory master data, including item/SKU creation and pricing updates.
- Obtain necessary approvals and process inventory adjustment entries relating to write-offs, reconciliation differences, refurbishments, and other inventory movements.
- Prepare invoices for sales to Authorised Service Partners (ASPs) for spares and wall mounts.
- Process invoicing for product swaps and replacements arising from customer returns, account for sales returns, and issue credit notes.
- Maintain and review returns and swap trackers and accounting records for in-warranty and out-of-warranty claims.
- Track ASP payments and receivables, follow up on outstanding items, and coordinate resolution of return-related matters.
- GST Compliance & Reconciliation • Coordinate with GST consultants for the preparation and timely filing of GST returns and other GST compliance requirements.
- Perform regular reconciliation of GSTR-2B with the books of accounts and identify discrepancies in input tax credit.
- Track and resolve mismatches relating to vendor invoices, credit notes, GST credits, and other input tax credit matters.
- Assist with GST-related queries, notices, reconciliations, and documentation in coordination with GST consultants. 3.
Financial
Reporting, Audit & Ad-hoc Projects • Prepare after-sales financial reports and analysis covering revenues, costs, provisions, and other relevant financial metrics.
- Share ledgers, invoices, reconciliations, and supporting information with ASP finance teams and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for statutory and year-end audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of year-end audit requirements.
- Support financial due diligence exercises for fundraising, investor onboarding, and other strategic initiatives by preparing financial data, reconciliations, schedules, and analysis.
- Assist in implementing process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and improving finance processes and reporting.
- Provide accounting support for ad-hoc projects and business requirements as assigned by the Finance Head.
- Month-End Closure & Financial Accounting • Account for expenses paid through corporate credit cards and reconcile credit card statements with the books of accounts.
- Prepare monthly depreciation and prepaid expense schedules and ensure timely accounting entries.
- Prepare workings for provisions relating to sales returns and defective inventory.
- Record and reconcile payment gateway receipts for D2C sales.
- Share monthly sales and purchase data for insurance declarations.
- Support timely completion of month-end closing activities, reconciliations, and related schedules. Qualifications
- B.Com / CA Intermediate.
- Additional certifications or coursework in Accounting, GST, or ERP systems will be an advantage. Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, inventory accounting, finance operations, or a similar role.
- Experience in consumer electronics, manufacturing, retail, or e-commerce businesses will be preferred.
Technical
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and inventory accounting.
- Good understanding of GST compliance and reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software;
experience with Zoho Books will be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
- Experience in inventory reconciliation, financial reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Key Competencies

Preferred Candidate
Profile
- Experience in inventory-intensive businesses such as consumer electronics, appliances, manufacturing, or retail.
- Exposure to D2C and e-commerce accounting will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with warranty accounting, ASP operations, and inventory lifecycle management, including returns, refurbishments, write-offs, and replacements.
- Candidates having completed CA Articlehip with relevant practical accounting experience will be preferred.
