Role Description This full-time, on-site role for an Associate Professor of Computer Science is based at Amity University, Ranchi.

The Associate

Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science, ensuring alignment with current industry standards and academic best practices.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising research projects, and guiding theses in areas such as data science,



cybersecurity, and programming. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, engaging in scholarly research and publication, and participating in departmental and university committees.

The Associate

Professor is expected to collaborate with colleagues, foster industry partnerships, and support outreach activities that enhance the reputation and impact of the department.

Qualifications

Robust academic and practical expertise in core Computer Science concepts and applications.

Proficiency in Programming and related software development methodologies.

Specialization or significant experience in Data Science and Cybersecurity.

Experience in Curriculum Development for higher education in computer science or related fields.

Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.

Proven record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.

Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and assess students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Effective communication, collaboration, and academic leadership skills.

Experience in industry collaboration, funded projects, or consultancy is an advantage.
