The School of Engineering at Chanakya University is seeking applications for faculty positions in diverse fields such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. Moreover, a willingness to contribute effectively to the university's educational landscape is highly desirable.
Role & Responsibilities
- Teach advanced undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the specialisation (Data Science & Cyber Security).
- Design course content, learning resources, and assessment rubrics.
- Guide undergraduate capstone projects and postgraduate dissertations.
- Actively publish quality research and pursue funded projects.
- Mentor junior faculty and support academic quality improvement.
- Contribute to curriculum revision, academic audits, and accreditation processes.
- Take leadership roles in departmental committees and academic initiatives.
Eligibility & Experience
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (mandatory).
- Minimum experience as prescribed by AICTE / UGC norms (typically 6 years).
- Proven record of publications in reputed journals/conferences.
- Knowledge in AI, ML/DL is mandatory.

1. Systems (Operating Systems & Computer Networks)
Role & Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Operating Systems and Computer Networks.
- Deliver both theory and laboratory sessions (OS labs, Network labs).
- Guide students in system-level programming, networking projects,
and simulations.
- Develop and update course materials aligned with curriculum and industry trends.
- Mentor student projects in areas such as distributed systems, cloud computing, and network security.
- Engage in academic research and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Desired Skills
- Strong fundamentals in OS concepts (processes, memory, scheduling, file systems).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, protocols).
- Proficiency in C/C , Linux, networking tools.
- Ability to integrate practical case studies and experiments.
2. Database Management Systems (DBMS)
Role & Responsibilities
- Teach courses related to DBMS, Advanced Databases, and Data Management.
- Conduct database laboratory sessions and mini-projects.
- Guide students in database design, normalisation, query optimisation, and transactions.
- Supervise projects involving SQL, NoSQL, and data-driven applications.
- Support research and consultancy activities in data management and analytics.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database design tools.
- Exposure to modern database systems (distributed databases, big data platforms).

3. Compiler Design
Role & Responsibilities
- Teach Compiler Design and related theory courses.
- Explain concepts such as lexical analysis, parsing, syntax-directed translation, and code generation.
- Conduct compiler-related laboratory sessions and project guidance.
- Encourage research and innovation in programming languages and language processing tools.
- Develop learning resources and hands-on assignments.
Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of compiler phases and formal language theory.
- Familiarity with tools such as Lex/Flex, Yacc/Bison.

4. Mathematics / Optimisation

- Teach Engineering Mathematics and Optimisation-related courses.
