Associate – Corporate Advisory & Contracts Location: Chennai

Eshwars Advocates is looking to hire an Associate to join its Corporate Advisory and Contracts team in Chennai. This role is ideal for individuals who are keen to build a strong foundation in corporate law through hands-on exposure to advisory, contract drafting, and transactional matters.

Role Overview The selected candidate will work closely with senior members of the firm on corporate advisory assignments, contract drafting and review, commercial transactions, and related legal matters. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements.
- Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Assist in corporate advisory assignments, including transaction structuring, compliance advisory, and legal due diligence.
- Prepare legal opinions, research notes, and client advisories.
- Work closely with clients to understand business objectives and provide practical legal solutions.

Candidate ProfileExperience




- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of post-qualification experience in corporate law or contract drafting.
- Freshers with relevant internship experience in reputed law firms will be preferred.

- Strong contract drafting and reviewing skills.
- Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
- Clear, concise, and structured legal writing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Eligibility
- LLB or BA LLB from a recognized university.
- Strong academic record and relevant internship experience will be an advantage.
