Role Description

We are seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial and strategic investment professional to join our Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) platform as an AVP/ VP. The role entails end-to-end ownership across the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management of pre-IPO and growth-stage opportunities.

The AVP/VP will work closely with senior leadership in shaping investment strategy, driving high-quality deal flow, managing portfolio performance, and building strong investor relationships. This role requires a blend of strong analytical capability, commercial judgment, leadership skills, and market insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Strategy & Deal Origination

Drive proactive sourcing of high-quality investment opportunities aligned with the fund’s thesis

Build and maintain strong networks with founders, intermediaries, investment banks, and industry stakeholders

Contribute to shaping and refining the fund’s investment strategy and sector priorities

Investment Evaluation & Decision-Making

Lead detailed evaluation of investment opportunities including business model assessment, industry analysis, and competitive positioning

Provide independent investment views and recommendations to the Investment Committee

Guide junior team members in research and analysis to ensure depth and rigor

Financial Analysis & Valuation

Oversee development and review of complex financial models, valuation frameworks, and return scenarios

Evaluate financial statements, key operating metrics,



and growth drivers to assess investment viability

Apply strong commercial judgment to balance risk and return considerations

Reporting & Investment Committee Engagement

Lead preparation of high-quality investment memoranda, IC notes, and portfolio review materials

Present investment opportunities and portfolio updates to senior management and Investment Committee

Portfolio Management & Value Creation

Actively monitor portfolio company performance, governance, and strategic direction

Engage with management teams to drive value creation initiatives

Identify exit opportunities and support execution of exits

Risk Management & Compliance

Ensure adherence to internal risk frameworks, investment guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Identify and mitigate risks across investments through proactive monitoring and portfolio diversification

Investor Relations & Fundraising Support

Engage with existing and prospective investors, including HNIs, family offices, and institutional clients

Support fundraising efforts through presentations, roadshows, and investor communication

Build credibility and trust through transparent and insightful reporting

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Mentor and guide the team, ensuring high-quality output and professional development

Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable team culture

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

CA / CFA / MBA (Finance),



or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines

Strong understanding of asset management (pre-IPO, growth-stage investing preferred), and capital markets

Proven ability to independently lead transactions and manage stakeholders

Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills

Strong network within the investment ecosystem

High ownership, commercial acumen, and decision-making capability

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
