Purpose:
The Assistant Vice President – Projects will support the Head – Project Planning & Execution in providing strategic leadership for the planning, execution, delivery, and handover of luxury hospitality and mixed-use developments across DLF Hospitality. The role is responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of projects while maintaining the highest standards of design, engineering excellence, sustainability, guest experience, and operational readiness.
The incumbent will lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, design coordination, procurement, budgeting, construction, commissioning, and operational handover, ensuring alignment with business objectives, luxury hospitality brand standards, and organizational governance.

Key Responsibilities
Drive Operational Excellence
- Support the Head – Project Planning & Execution in developing and executing project strategies, governance frameworks, and delivery plans for luxury hospitality, branded residences, clubs, and mixed-use developments in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead end-to-end execution of luxury hospitality projects from concept to operational handover.
- Ensure adherence to approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and brand expectations.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure seamless coordination among all stakeholders.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Drive integrated master planning, project scheduling,
and execution strategies.
- Ensure alignment of design, procurement, and construction activities.
- Monitor project milestones and implement corrective actions where required.
- Optimize engineering and design solutions while maintaining luxury standards.
ODC (Owner-Driven Contracting) Management
- Manage projects executed under ODC procurement models.
- Drive contracting strategies, bid processes, and vendor selection.
- Oversee contract administration, claims management, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure commercial optimization without compromising quality or timelines.
Design & Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with luxury hospitality brand standards.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design deliverables.
- Review and approve design stages in coordination with consultants and operators.
- Ensure world-class quality in execution and finishes.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Develop and monitor project budgets and cost plans.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Track cash flows, commitments, and financial performance.
- Ensure financial discipline across all project phases.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage effectively with internal leadership, consultants, contractors, and operators.
- Present project updates in steering committee and leadership reviews.
- Resolve cross-functional issues impacting project delivery.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate project execution, commercial, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain project governance and escalation mechanisms.
Operational Readiness & Handover
- Lead commissioning,
testing, snag closure, and final handover processes.
- Coordinate with operations teams for seamless transition.
- Ensure readiness of facilities for opening and operations.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and mentor project teams across functions.
- Build high-performance execution culture.
- Drive accountability, ownership, and collaboration.
- Develop future leadership pipeline within project teams.
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure OH&S; integration across all project phases, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Drive implementation of safety requirements at project sites by monitoring contractor compliance, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely closure of observations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to embed health and safety considerations in planning, execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Review performance through audits, inspections, and governance meetings, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Job Requirements / Hiring Profile
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Architecture (Mandatory)
- M.Tech / MBA in Project or Construction Management (Preferred)
- PMP Certification (Preferred)
Work Experience
- 20+ years of experience in Project Management
- Mandatory experience in luxury hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, clubs, branded residences)
- Mandatory experience in ODC (Owner-Driven Contracting) execution models
- Solid exposure to large-scale, complex construction projects from concept to commissioning
- Experience working with international consultants, architects, and hospitality operators
