Job role: Procurement asst. manager (capex)
Department: Transformation
Job experience: Min. 5 years
Location: Mumbai, HQ About The Hosteller We started The Hosteller in 2013, when the backpacker hostel category didn't exist in India. Today we run 70+ properties across the country with a team of around 1,100, making us the largest self-operated hostel chain in India, with every hostel run by our own people rather than franchised out. Around the core brand we've built TH BAM as a premium tier, Myngl for in-house vegetarian F&B; and Step Out for experiences, all running on a single tech platform.
What we're really in the business of is belonging. Travelers come to us for a bed and stay for the people. Backed by a ₹150 crore Series B, we're now opening at the fastest pace in our history, across both leisure destinations and metro markets.
That means a pipeline of new builds, renovations and upgrades running in parallel, in geographies ranging from dense city infill to remote hill sites. It's a genuinely hard procurement problem, and there's real ownership on offer for someone who wants to solve it. Decisions here show up on the ground in weeks, not quarters.
