Role Description The Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops in HRM and related management subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating course curricula, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, and providing mentoring and academic guidance. The role also involves engaging in research, publishing in reputable journals, participating in academic committees, and contributing to departmental development activities.
The Assistant
Professor will collaborate with industry partners for guest lectures, internships, and applied projects, supporting Amity’s focus on practical and industry-relevant education. This is a full time, on-site role based at the Shamshabad campus. Qualifications
Advanced academic qualifications in Human Resource Management or a closely related discipline (preferably Ph.D. or equivalent), with a strong foundation in HR theory and practice.
Demonstrated teaching abilities, including curriculum design,
classroom instruction, student assessment, and use of modern pedagogical and e-learning tools.
Research and publication experience in HRM or management, including the ability to conceptualize studies, collect and analyze data, and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Practical understanding of core HR domains such as recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, employee relations, and strategic HRM.
Robust communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Commitment to ethical conduct, student mentorship, and alignment with Amity’s values-driven, industry-focused academic culture.
Prior academic or industry experience in HR, exposure to corporate HR practices, and participation in conferences or qualified bodies (e.g., HR associations) will be an advantage.
