Role Description The Assistant Professor in the Aerospace Engineering Department will engage in classroom and laboratory teaching, curriculum delivery, and continuous evaluation of students in core aerospace subjects.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, supervising student projects, and mentoring learners in academic and professional growth. The role also involves participating in research activities, publishing scholarly work, contributing to departmental initiatives, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes.

The Assistant

Professor will attend departmental and institutional meetings, engage in outreach and co-curricular activities,



and collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the program. This is a full-time, on-site role based at ACS College of Engineering in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

Robust knowledge of aerospace engineering fundamentals such as aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, flight mechanics, and aircraft systems.

Competence in laboratory instruction, experimental methods, and use of relevant aerospace tools or simulation software.

Ability to design and deliver clear, engaging lectures and tutorials, with effective classroom and student management skills.

Research aptitude, including problem formulation, data analysis, technical writing, and publication in reputable journals or conferences.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to guide students and collaborate with colleagues.

Bachelor's degree (B.E / B.Tech) & Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or closely related discipline from a recognized university;

Familiarity with outcome-based education, academic regulations of VTU, and accreditation processes (such as NBA) is an advantage.
