Role Description The Assistant Professor – English & History will teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in English literature, language studies, and various areas of History, including survey and specialized courses. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, guiding discussions, conducting assessments, and providing academic advising and mentoring to students.

The role also involves curriculum development, participation in departmental meetings, engagement in scholarly activities, and contribution to university events and outreach initiatives. This is a full-time,



on-site role based at Shri Khushal Das University in Hanumangarh, requiring regular presence on campus and active involvement in academic and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in World History and American History, with the ability to teach and design courses in these areas.
- Knowledge of Art History and its interdisciplinary connections, with capacity to integrate visual culture into teaching and research.
- Demonstrated experience or clear potential in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessments, and learning outcomes.
- Experience in University Teaching or higher education instruction, with effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MA/MPhil/PhD) in English, History, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Strong academic writing, research aptitude, and willingness to engage in scholarly publications and conferences.
- Excellent communication skills, inclusive teaching practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Familiarity with educational technology, learning management systems, and up-to-date pedagogical methods.
