Position: Assistant Manager Warehouse Operations

Job Purpose The Assistant Manager Warehouse Operations will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, and logistics coordination. The role requires hands-on experience in E-commerce and Quick Commerce operations, with a solid focus on meeting service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse productivity, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and inventory control.
- Ensure timely processing of customer orders while adhering to defined turnaround times (TATs) and SLAs.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure optimum space utilization and proper warehouse layout management.
- Supervise warehouse staff, shift operations, and manpower planning.

E-commerce & Quick Commerce Operations (Mandatory)

- Manage order fulfillment for leading E-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, JioMart, etc.
- Handle Quick Commerce operations through platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket Now, Flipkart Minutes, and similar channels.
- Ensure adherence to platform-specific SLAs, OTIF (On Time In Full), fill rates, and delivery commitments.




- Coordinate with marketplace account managers and logistics partners to resolve operational issues.
- Manage returns, cancellations, reverse logistics, and customer claims efficiently.
- Monitor marketplace performance metrics and recommend process improvements.

Inventory Management

- Ensure 100% inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor stock ageing, slow-moving inventory, and stock replenishment.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance wherever applicable.

Team Management

- Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse associates and supervisors.
- Allocate work effectively to maximize productivity.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with SOPs, warehouse safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for inventory movements and dispatches.
- Drive 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and audit requirements.

Logistics Coordination

- Coordinate with transporters,



courier partners, and internal stakeholders for timely dispatches.
- Track shipment performance and resolve delivery-related issues.
- Monitor freight costs and identify cost optimization opportunities.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.

- OTIF
- Picking & Packing Productivity

- Dispatch TAT

- Return Rate

- Warehouse Utilization

- Cost per Order
- Present operational insights and improvement plans to management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Commerce, or related discipline.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be preferred.

Experience

- 5-8 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Mandatory experience in E-commerce and Quick Commerce warehouse operations.
- Experience handling high-volume order fulfillment environments.
- Prior experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Retail, or E-commerce organizations will be preferred.

Mandatory Requirements

- Hands-on experience managing E-commerce and Quick Commerce warehouse operations.
- Experience handling marketplace fulfillment and platform SLAs.
- Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory management, and warehouse automation.
- Experience managing warehouse teams and shift operations.
- Proven ability to drive productivity, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence in a fast-paced distribution environment.
