Responsibilities Systems management Strategically manage the E I infrastructure including power distribution furnace controls and continuous casting automation systems ensuring they meet the high demands of the plant Advanced troubleshooting Lead a team to diagnose and resolve complex E I issues such as PLC logic failures sensor drifts and control system instabilities that could impact product quality Digitalization projects Identify and lead projects to implement new technologies automation and data analytics to optimize plant performance and process stability Compliance and safety Ensure all E I systems and work practices comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements Conduct audits and lead investigations into electrical incidents Team development Supervise train and develop E I engineers and technicians ensuring they are proficient in the latest technologies and best practices Stakeholder collaboration Work closely with the Production Quality and Engineering teams to support process improvements and current product development initiatives Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Electrical Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering Experience 8-12 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing or process industry with a focus on control systems and automation Experience with metallurgical equipment such as furnaces and continuous casters is highly desirable Skills Expertise in PLC HMI SCADA systems advanced process control APC and industrial networking Strong knowledge of power electronics and VFDs Certifications Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is advantageous for driving process stability and quality improvement projects
