Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development of technology engineering product roadmaps and maintain existing roadmaps. Evaluate the current network security engineering and develop action plans to make necessary improvements in line with industry best practices and standards

- Provide input on the overall technology plan for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure and ecosystem. Collaborate and work effectively with different technology teams and vendors delivering complete networking solutions

- Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of current industry directions and trends. Drive to deliver technology and products in the roadmap on schedule, and with the highest quality

- Provide advice, guidance, and direction to carry out plans and procedures. Ensure product development process adherence, performance and budget targets are met. Provide last tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis. Establish network environments by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards

- Understand the Operations and Engineering of the Network security and recommend ways to enhance productivity and visibility through automation. Work closely with internal Network Operations and Engineering teams to gather requirements and build/deploy appropriate tools

- Build configuration management, service provisioning, inventory management, resource management, process automation, visibility, and self-service tools. Provide training and guidance to other members of the Network team

Qualifications

- Experience in:





Web proxy products like Broadcom, ZScaler, Palo Alto Prisma and other competitive vendor products. Good level of expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and it’s extended feature set.

Automation with tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet; one or more of the following systems is a plus - SolarWinds, Splunk, Network Visibility products: design and engineering of network security products is a plus

- Ability to program with one or more ‘scripting’ languages (such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash and JavaScript);

- Working knowledge with: Web site categorization by different vendors, SSL decrypt, certificate standards, TLS standards, encryption, policy layers, cloud based proxy offerings from different vendors, different security policy enforcement mechanisms, Proxy.pac, different web browsers on mobile and desktop operating systems, SAML authentication, good understanding of Palo Alto firewalls and next-gen firewalls

- Technical Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of cloud proxy offerings and their large-scale deployments, Ability to define a product roadmap and deliver the design in production environment at a large scale, Design and certify web proxy platform for different use cases, Extensive experience with current Secure Web Gateway products and SaaS based remote access products, positive understanding of zero trust ecosystem and enterprise use cases

- Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority. Must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
