Kaze Living is KSKT's premium gourmet grocery and lifestyle marketplace, offering curated fresh produce, artisanal foods, beverages, wellness products, and premium home essentials.

We are looking for a commercially driven Category Manager to lead category growth by managing vendor partnerships, sourcing products, building distributor networks, and driving business performance across multiple product categories.

Role Overview The Category Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned product categories, including product sourcing, vendor onboarding, procurement, merchandising, pricing, inventory planning, and category growth. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in FMCG, retail, grocery, or consumer goods , with hands-on experience in vendor management and commercial negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end performance and profitability of assigned product categories.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and brand partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and channel partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, margins, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements.
- Develop category strategies, assortment plans, pricing, and promotional initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
- Source recent products and identify market opportunities aligned with customer demand and business objectives.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, operations, and sales teams to ensure timely product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking,



and consumer trend analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Track category performance through sales, margins, inventory turnover, and profitability metrics.
- Work closely with marketing teams to execute product launches, campaigns, and seasonal promotions.
- Prepare business reviews, category reports, and performance recommendations for leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Food Technology, or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, Buying, Vendor Management, Vendor Onboarding, Merchandising, Retail Operations, or Distribution Management .
- Prior experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Grocery, Modern Trade, Retail, Consumer Goods, E-commerce, or Quick Commerce is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in vendor sourcing, vendor onboarding, supplier relationship management, and commercial negotiations.
- Positive understanding of retail merchandising, assortment planning, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Experience working with distributors and managing channel expansion will be an added advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive category growth and improve profitability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced startup environment.
