Role Description The Articled Assistant will support the firm’s accounting, auditing, taxation, and advisory engagements under the guidance of senior professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, assisting in statutory and internal audits, and working on tax computations and filings.

The role also involves drafting working papers, conducting basic financial analysis, and helping prepare reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata,



requiring consistent collaboration with team members and clients.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing procedures.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxation concepts, including tax computation, return filing, and compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting and audit software is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to analyze financial data, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Enrollment in CA articleship program or eligibility to commence articleship with a recognized professional body.
- Ethical mindset, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback and professional development.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in accounting or taxation is beneficial but not mandatory.
