Role Type: Individual Contributor with governance and EA tool ownership responsibilities Role Summary:

The Architecture Governance & Change Analyst is responsible for proactive architecture governance, continuous change intake, and the administration of enterprise architecture tools and standards. This role enables fast, protected delivery by working ahead of delivery teams to identify upcoming risks, dependencies, and governance needs (sprint -1), while keeping controls minimal, risk-based, and delivery-aligned. This role emphasizes judgment, proactivity, and facilitation over seniority or architectural design authority.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactive Change Intake and Sprint -1 Support.

Continuously scan initiatives, roadmaps, and delivery plans to identify upcoming architecture risks and governance needs before implementation begins.

Engage Domain Architects early (sprint -1) to clarify governance expectations, evidence requirements, and exception paths.

Translate signals into clear change requests feeding ADT planning.

Lightweight Governance Enablement.

Operate pace-layered, risk-based governance with minimal controls aligned to system criticality and change rate.

Make compliance expectations explicit, testable, and fast for Domain Architects and delivery teams.





Track architecture exceptions and ensure they are time-bound with clear retirement plans.

EA Tools and Template Administration.

Serve as primary administrator for EA tools (LeanIX, CMDB integrations, Jira inputs), including configuration and data quality rules.

Maintain and evolve EA templates (ADRs, exception requests, compliance checklists) to reduce friction and improve consistency.

Provide dashboards and reporting for lifecycle, risk, technical debt, and governance status.

Technical Debt and Lifecycle Governance.

Own the process for maintaining technical debt and end-of-life risk registers with clear mitigation ownership.

Ensure technical debt is visible, categorized, time-bound, and reflected in portfolio planning.

Required Experience and Skills

3–6+ years of relevant experience in architecture governance, EA analysis, IT portfolio or lifecycle management, or delivery enablement roles.

Strong preference for experience in Agile delivery environments.

Strong preference for EA or delivery tool ownership (LeanIX, CMDB, Jira, or similar).

Experience with risk, lifecycle, or technical-debt visibility and tracking.

Comfort operating in consensus-driven organizations with cross-domain stakeholders.

Ability to work proactively and independently without creating bureaucratic overhead.

Clear written and verbal communication skills focused on enablement rather than enforcement.
