Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Application Engineer to support CNC machining applications with a focus on 5-axis machining technology. The role involves evaluating customer component drawings, developing machining strategies, recommending tooling and fixture concepts, conducting machine trials, and supporting customers in achieving optimum productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze customer drawings and manufacturing requirements to develop suitable machining solutions.
- Recommend machining strategies, tooling packages, cutting parameters, and fixture/workholding concepts for complex components.
- Support machine demonstrations, prove-outs, customer trials, and process optimization activities.
- Prepare process plans, cycle time estimates, and technical application reports.
- Provide technical support to customers and the sales team during pre-sales and post-sales activities.




- Assist customers in improving productivity, reducing cycle times, and meeting quality requirements.
- Conduct application training and troubleshooting support as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Diploma / bachelors degree in mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of 5-axis CNC machining and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Good understanding of surface finish requirements (Ra/Rz) and machining methods to achieve specified quality standards.
- Robust knowledge of machining concepts, tooling selection, cutting parameters, and fixture/workholding principles.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and customer interaction skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Working knowledge of HyperMILL, SolidCAM, or CATIA Manufacturing.
- Experience in Aerospace and/or Die & Mold machining applications.
- Exposure to machining complex free-form surfaces, impellers, blisks, mold cavities, and precision components.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM workflow, machining simulation, and process optimization.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be capable of independently reviewing customer drawings and proposing complete machining solutions including:

- Machining methodology and process sequence
- Tooling selection
- Fixture/workholding concept
- Surface finish achievement strategy
- Cycle time estimation and optimization

Willingness to travel for customer support, machine trials, and technical discussions is essential.
