About Vahan

Vahan is building technology to connect blue-collar and gig workers to job opportunities at scale. Our platform relies heavily on data to optimize hiring funnels, calling operations, and job-seeker experience. We're looking for an Analytics Intern to help us dig into this data and turn it into actionable insights.

Role Overview

As an Analytics Intern, you'll work closely with the analytics and business teams (Direct Channel) to analyze large datasets, build reports, and support data-driven decision-making across functions like recruiter performance, funnel conversion, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze data from our databases
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel/Google Sheets/Redash for daily/weekly business tracking
- Analyze hiring funnel metrics, calling analytics, and other operational KPIs
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in the data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ops, Product, Business) to understand data requirements and deliver insights




- Automate recurring reports where possible to reduce manual effort
- Present findings clearly to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical

Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related)
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charting)
- Working knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries; ClickHouse experience is a plus)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong communication skills
- Prior internship/project experience with data analysis is a plus

Valuable to Have

- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Redash, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI)
- Basic understanding of Python for data analysis (Pandas)
- Exposure to startup/fast-paced environments
