We are seeking an experienced AIX Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure, and maintain AIX operating systems and applications
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with policies
- Perform regular backups and recovery operations
- Manage user accounts and permissions
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages
- Provide technical support to users and other IT staff
- Document system configurations and procedures
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of experience in AIX administration
- Solid knowledge of AIX operating system and architecture
- Experience with LPAR and virtualization technologies
- Proficient in shell scripting and automation tools
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Familiarity with storage management and backup solutions
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
