About the job
? We’re Hiring: AI-First Azure Solutions Architect
Ajentica is looking for an experienced AI-First Azure Solutions Architect to join our growing engineering team.
This is not a purely advisory architecture role—and it’s not an API-builder role either.
We’re looking for a hands-on architect who can own the HOW of software engineering: understand complex systems end to end, translate business and technical requirements into robust architecture, make key technology decisions, and stay close enough to implementation to ensure the solution is built the right way.
You’ll work primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem, with C#/.NET and Azure at the core, while using AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code as part of your everyday engineering workflow.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end solution and system architecture—from requirements and system understanding through implementation and production.
- Translate complex requirements into clear architecture, system designs, technical specifications, diagrams, and integration approaches.
- Define and enforce architecture principles, coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Provide architectural oversight and ensure development teams stay aligned with agreed designs and standards.
- Remain hands-on with C#, .NET, Azure, and SQL, including code and design reviews when needed.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Guide technical decisions around microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, caching, security, observability, and system integration.
- Work with Azure services including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault,
Azure SQL, and monitoring/observability tools.
- Partner with engineering, product, DevOps, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into production-ready solutions.
- Mentor engineers and provide strong technical leadership across teams.
- Use Cursor and/or Claude Code extensively for architecture, implementation, testing, code review, and engineering productivity.
- Contribute to platform modernization, cloud migration, production reliability, and long-term technology strategy.
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant senior technical or architecture responsibility.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, System Architect, Technical Architect, or equivalent architecture-focused engineering leader.
- Strong enterprise system architecture and design experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise in C# and .NET/.NET Core.
- Strong, direct experience building solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Robust understanding of Azure security, Key Vault, identity and access management, configuration, and secure cloud architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, DDD, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
- Practical understanding of CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git, Docker,
and modern cloud delivery practices.
- Daily, practical experience with Cursor and/or Claude Code. AI-assisted engineering is a core expectation of this role—not a nice-to-have.
- Strong technical leadership and the confidence to establish standards, challenge poor engineering decisions, and maintain architectural discipline.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to provide significant working-hour overlap with the US Eastern Time (ET) zone.
Good to Have
- Python experience
- Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft data ecosystem experience
- AI/agentic system architecture or integration experience
- Experience with LLMs, vector databases, MCP, or AI/ML workloads
- Terraform or ARM experience
- Healthcare technology experience, including HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC 2
- Experience working with distributed teams and US-based stakeholders
Who We’re Looking For
You’re an architect who still understands what happens inside the codebase.
You don’t stop at producing diagrams or recommending technologies. You can explain why a system should be designed a certain way, define how it should be implemented, and work with engineers to ensure it is actually built that way.
Most importantly, you combine system-level thinking, hands-on engineering credibility, strong technical leadership, and an AI-first engineering mindset.
Interested? We’d love to hear from you.
