Role Description The Agency Manager is responsible for developing and managing a network of insurance agents to achieve sales and growth targets for HDFC ERGO’s general insurance products. This full-time role involves recruiting, onboarding, and training agency partners, providing regular performance coaching, and supporting them with sales tools and product knowledge.

and implements action plans to improve productivity and customer acquisition. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams for underwriting, claims, and operations support, ensuring agents deliver compliant, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

- Strong sales, cross-selling, and business development skills, with experience in managing agency or channel partners.

- Ability to analyze performance data, prepare reports, and use CRM or sales management tools effectively.
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams.
- Knowledge of general insurance products and regulatory guidelines; prior experience in insurance or banking is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
