- Analyze customer safety requirements and support the engineering team in preparing Technical Safety Concepts (TSC) and Technical Safety Analyses (TSA).
- Manage all functional safety relevant interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work on proof-of-concepts (POCs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and contribute to the technical software architecture.
- Develop FuSa software SWE1 requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on implementing Safety Mechanisms, Safe States, and other functional safety aspects to engineering teams.
- Ensure ISO 26262 certified or qualified software tools are used for product development and production.
- Support teams in designing software/system architecture in compliance with ISO 26262.
- Define and coordinate confirmation/verification reviews with product teams to ensure functional safety standards are met.
- Conduct reviews of technical risk assessments.
- Perform supplier assessments in the functional safety domain.
- Apply SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality) knowledge where applicable.
Required Background:
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Robotics.
- 5–8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in Functional Safety with hands-on software development, safety analysis, and tool qualification.
- Solid communication skills and ability to challenge ideas constructively.
- Passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with market trends and new technologies.
