Role & responsibilities
- Prepare monthly expense MIS and variance analysis.
- Collect and prepare monthly expense provisions from business stakeholders.
- Perform GL scrutiny and expense validation.
- Handle end-to-end expense accounting and month-end closing activities.
- Review Accounts Payable transactions and ensure timely invoice booking.
- Process and review high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Review balance sheet schedules and ensure timely closure.
- Review bank reconciliation statements and resolve open entries.
- Follow up for GST input reconciliation and closure of pending GST issues.
- Ensure TDS and GST compliance related to vendor payments.
- Support statutory, internal and tax audits by providing required data and resolving audit queries.
- Review and update SOPs.
- Drive process standardization and automation initiatives.
- Prepare BRDs for system enhancements and process improvements.
- Coordinate with Finance, Business and other stakeholders for timely deliverables
Preferred candidate profile
- Robust understanding of Expense Accounting and Accounts Payable.
- Hands-on experience in processing high volumes of vendor invoices.
- Good knowledge of GST Input Credit, TDS and accounting entries.
- Experience in month-end closing and expense reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Microsoft Dynamics or similar will be an added advantage.
- CA Articleship experience will be highly preferred.
