Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts. This full-time, on-site role in Pune City includes preparing financial statements and reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves processing invoices, expenses, and payments, monitoring cash flows,



and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

The Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams, auditors, and stakeholders to provide accurate, timely financial information and support continuous improvement of accounting processes. The position also includes contributing to internal controls, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.

Qualifications

Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.

Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Good understanding of applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external auditors.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA-equivalent) are an advantage.

Ability to work on-site in Pune City, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.

Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, ideally within consulting, IT services, or related industries.
